My Meriter Story
Dr. David Ende Was Wonderful
This past weekend, I was admitted to Metirer's Cardiac unit for observation due to some chest pain I was having. After all tests were done on Saturday and Sunday, it was determined that some stomach problems I was having led to the false signs of a heart attack.
I wanted to let you know though, how impressed I was with the staff and level of care I received. Although my problem was fairly mild in comparison to others, I felt like I was the most important person there. The nursing staff I had -- Missy, Ben, Barb, Kristy and Tracy -- were excellent! They calmly and patiently answered all my questions and did everything they could to make my stay as pleasant and "fear free" as possible.
Also, Dr. David Ende was wonderful. I am grateful he was assigned to my case. His professional expertise and calm demeanor reassured me and made me feel very safe in his care. When I left on Sunday morning, I felt like I'd received the best care possible.
The bottom line is, the care, concern and compassion I received at Meriter was second to none! Although I hope never to use these services again, it's reassuring to know that Meriter Hospital will be there with quality care if I ever need it.
Thanks for making what could have been an unpleasant experience turn out very positive.
PS -- While some people may joke about hospital food, the meals I had there were wonderful! Thanks for letting me feel like I ate in a restaurant!
