I had an enlarged prostate for over 15 years. I felt terrible and frustrated. I took pills for years, and then finally decided to call my family physician to have something done. Once I met with urologist Dr. Williams, he knew within 2 minutes what my condition was and how to fix it. He explained my options and highly recommended the GreenLight laser procedure.

Before the procedure, my sleeping patterns were horrible. I would get up about 5 times during the night. I would have such a strong urge to urinate, but couldn’t go. There were many nights when I would only get a few hours of sleep and then be tired at work.

Dr. Williams made things clear. He explained my exact condition. He was very thorough with me, and made sure I understood how the procedure would benefit me. If I could rate him on a 1 to 10 scale, he would be a 10+! I was very pleased with him.

My recovery time was a little less than a month. During the first couple weeks of recovery, and before the procedure, I didn't have complete control over my bladder, which made it hard for me to drive comfortably. Now when I'm driving, I don’t have to worry about stopping to use the restroom anymore. I drive long distances for my job, and can be in the car for four to five hours without having to stop.

My whole lifestyle has changed since I had the GreenLight laser surgery. I can fill my bladder up and my bladder will expand. I only have to use the restroom about 3 times per day. I say a prayer every time I pee, seriously!  This procedure is the best thing that has happened to me in 15 years.
