It’s no secret that obesity is increasing in the United States, and as of 2010, accounting for more than 20% of adult Wisconsinites. Unfortunately this is not just a problem for adults. Obesity is increasing in children as well. The truth is that obese children and adults are more likely to have health problems, including heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and liver disease.
Your entire family is welcome to join us at a free informational seminar led by Meriter De-Forest-Windsor physicians Drs. Jennifer Winter and Jocelin Reatiraza, who will focus on strategies to prevent and treat obesity, with an emphasis on the family. Registrants are also encouraged to take part in free BMI and blood pressure screenings before the seminar begins.
