With our mission to Heal, Teach and Serve, Meriter has been committed to serving those in need. With our dedicated Adult Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and NewStart programs, we have served countless patients over the years – improving their lives as well as the lives of their families.
Meriter and Physicians Plus have teamed as ‘Presenting Sponsor’ at this year’s NAMI Walk to help NAMI Dane County achieve its fundraising goal of $110,000. Jim Woodward, Meriter CEO, is serving as Business Team Chair and will be supporting the event both personally as well as through Meriter teams and sponsorships.
What is NAMI?
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Born in Madison, NAMI serves more than 1,100 communities across the country by providing support, education and advocacy.
Each year, NAMI holds a fun 5K walk aimed at raising funds to promote hope and recovery and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness. This nationwide event is held in more than 80 communities across the nation including Dane County.
NAMI has been rated by Worth Magazine as among the top 100 charities “most likely to save the world” and has been given an “A” rating by The American Institute of Philanthropy for efficient and effective use of charitable dollars.
