The holiday season is now officially upon us and parents are busy shopping and buying gifts for their loved ones. But what’s on our kids’ minds? Toys, of course. This is the season for Santa to bring home the wish list, which can be quite overwhelming.
It is important to remember that when toys are purchased, safety must be considered. Each year there are toy-related injuries, as well as recalls. My number one suggestion is to be sure to choose age-appropriate toys. (I know that it can sometimes be hard to concentrate with the amount of items in the toy section.) Check out the American Academy of Pediatrics for some great advice on toy safety.
