Join Our NAMI Walk Super Team

Meriter Supports NAMI Walk
Meriter’s mission is to Heal, Teach and Serve. Our dedicated Adult Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and NewStart programs have helped countless patients over the years – improving their lives as well as the lives of their families.

Meriter is one of three NAMI Walk Super Teams for 2012. Please consider joining our team. There is no registration fee for the walk, and participants are encouraged to collect donations from family members, friends, co-workers, and business associates in support of their participation in the Walk.

All of the funds collected will be used to fund NAMI’s programs here in Dane County. These programs include support, education, research, and advocacy for individuals and family members affected by mental illness.

What is NAMI?
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Born in Madison, NAMI serves more than 1,100 communities across the country by providing support, education and advocacy.

Each year, NAMI holds a fun 5K walk aimed at raising funds to promote hope and recovery and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness. This nationwide event is held in more than 80 communities across the nation including Dane County.

NAMI has been rated by Worth Magazine as among the top 100 charities “most likely to save the world” and has been given an “A” rating by The American Institute of Philanthropy for efficient and effective use of charitable dollars.
