Children from the Bayview International Center for Education and the Arts designed/crafted valentines for Meriter Hospital inpatients. They came to the Greenbush Garden Bistro on Monday, February 13 and delivered over 100 beautiful works of art! Volunteer Services treated the kids with valentine cookies and chocolate milk!
On Valentine’s Day, volunteers delivered the cards to various units in the hospital! This is the second year for this event and we are hoping to keep it going as an annual event!
Meriter Staff Feedback:
I just want to take a minute to thank you and the kids for the wonderful valentines we received today. I had the honor of delivering them to patients and it really made their day! And mine too. Without exception each patient had a huge smile and really enjoyed receiving the valentines. Please let the kids know that they truly made a difference in someone’s day.  Julie, HVU 11T
Today I was with a patient that had received a large valentine we discussed with her the appreciation of the children’s efforts and creativity. I had two older patients I was present with yesterday when Valentines were given to them and it brought smiles to their faces.  I also was with another gentlemen that was rather matter of fact about showing me he received one when I asked, but did say it was a nice gesture. Rick, HELP
Our patients (and staff) loved them! Thanks! Kathy, 3 North Rehabilitation
The cards were absolutely wonderful! The patient’s on 8 Atrium were thrilled to get them- the quality and detail was amazing! Big, big thanks to all of them and their hard work. Kim, 8Tower and 8Atrium

What a wonderful program! Way to go, kids!
