My mother always told us/lived by this statement “If you can’t say something nice about someone, don’t say anything at all.”
If I did and errand for my mother and either walked or rode my bike (for bread and milk) and came home without one or the other – she would say “Richard, what you don’t have in you head, you have to have in your feet” and make me go back and get the missing item!
