Concussion Testing
Meriter Pediatrics now offers ImPACT testing to student athletes in our community. ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Test) is a user-friendly, online computer-based neurocognitive testing program that helps determine concussion severity, as well as if and when it is safe for an athlete to return to sports. For $25, your student-athlete will receive a comprehensive exam that includes:
- A full health screening by a board-certified Meriter pediatrician
- Sight and hearing evaluations
- Flexibility, strength and functional assessments by Meriter physical therapists
- If needed, muscle/skeletal evaluations by a Meriter Orthopedic Clinic provider

Please note that a parent or guardian must accompany the athlete during the visit. This physical meets school and WIAA requirements. Students should wear shorts and gym shoes and bring their sports card. The $25 fee is due at the time of the appointment.
The $25 fee is only valid on the dates noted and available to WIAA student athletes. If warranted, immunizations or any further evaluations/tests are not included in the fee. Standard sports physical charges apply for appointments scheduled outside the dates, times and location listed. Consult your insurance company if you have questions about coverage for sports physicals.
