Birthing Center

Our Birthing Center is the choice for more families in southcentral Wisconsin than any other hospital. And to help your child live a happy, healthy life, Meriter is devoted to providing top pediatric services in the Madison area - from our primary care clinics to emergency and after-hours care.

Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

We have a state-of-the-art newborn intensive care unit (NICU) for premature or sick newborns to receive the advanced care they need. In fact, we are recognized as a premier regional center for excellence in high-risk neonatal care.

Center for Perinatal Care

We are equipped to care for any problems that a pregnant woman or newborn may encounter. The Center for Perinatal Care, a joint program of Meriter Hospital and the University of Wisconsin Medical School that combines the best in medical care, technology and clinical research with all the benefits of care in a community hospital. The death of a child, whenever or however it occurs, is a profound loss. Meriter’s Pregnancy & Infant Loss Program is there for grieving families. The program is a collaborative effort between physicians, spiritual care, nursing, social work and program staff.

Gynecology and Obstetrical Care

As a woman you want a high level of care and comfort for you, and if you're pregnant for you and your baby. We offer a wide range of services including general Obstetrics and Gynecologic care, well women services and education. Our philosophy centers on the patient while providing the latest in medical technology.

Mammography Services

A screening mammogram is a special x-ray of the breasts to look for changes that are not normal. It is used for women who have no breast problems or concerns. A mammogram is currently the most effective way to look for breast cancer. It may reveal breast problems before they can be felt by you or your doctor.

Women's HeartCare

Meriter Women’s HeartCare is a comprehensive cardiovascular program designed especially for women by women. We educate women about heart disease and their risk factors, we develop practical lifestyle intervention programs and provide support after a heart event. Our team of specialists meets with women, individually or as a group, to help them achieve their heart-health goals. Generations Fertility Care

Generations Fertility Care, a joint venture between Meriter Hospital and UW Health, has reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialists in Madison, Wisconsin, combine state-of-the art technology and compassionate, personalized care to assist couples who wish to become parents. With expertise in male and female infertility conditions, as well as women's endocrine conditions, we provide a wide range of assisted reproductive treatments.

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Meriter's skilled Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team specializes in all facets of plastic surgery, from reconstructive (helping those who suffer from cancer, traumatic injuries or birth defects) to hand surgery (carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and tendon injuries) to aesthetic surgery and non-surgical procedures of the face and body. Our care team is committed to helping both adults and children repair and restore the body.
