Evaluation: Your first therapy session is generally 60 minutes, during which you and your Physical/ Occupational therapist will review your pertinent medical history and discuss your current concerns. Next your therapist will conduct a thorough musculoskeletal examination, assessing your:
Range of motion (ROM)
Body mechanics and movement patterns
Following the examination, your physical therapist will provide you with a summary of your musculoskeletal limitations and how it impacts your current injury. With this information, you and your (physical/occupational) therapist will develop an individualized treatment plan and set specific goals to meet your personal needs.
Follow-up Visits: Additional visits will be scheduled based on your individualized treatment plan. During your follow-up visits your therapist will implement the various treatment interventions that were agreed upon during your initial evaluation.
