Meriter Pediatric Center The Pediatric Center, located adjacent to the Emergency Department, is an 8-bed unit that centralizes care for children receiving emergency and in-patient services at Meriter Hospital.
Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, Meriter pediatric hospitalists will collaborate with a team of emergency physicians, physician assistants and nurses, all of whom are trained to care for children. The pediatric hospitalists are also available to support community pediatricians to ensure the highest quality of care during a child’s emergency visit or hospitalization.
The Pediatric Center was designed with the family in mind and includes a child-friendly waiting area. Each in-patient room is outfitted with a sleeper-chair, full bathroom and entertainment center in an effort to make an unexpected hospital stay as comfortable as possible.
