Meriter's Emergency Department and Pediatric Center is located at 202 S. Park Street. The Meriter Pediatric Center is staffed 24/7 by physicians and staff trained to care for children.

After-Hours Care


The Meriter Pediatric After-Hours Clinic
assists busy families and assures easy appointment access beyond regular clinic hours. Staffed by Meriter physicians trained to care for children, the clinic is open to all patients age 0-18 with one of the following insurance carriers:

  • Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation
  • Medicaid
  • The Alliance
  • Blue Cross
  • WEA Trust
  • WPS
  • Cigna
  • Health EOS
  • Most commercial insurance plans

The clinic is conveniently located on the main level (2 Atrium) of Meriter Hospital at 202 S. Park Street in Madison.

Patients have reserved parking in the hospital parking ramp, as well as access to any ancillary services they may need including the Emergency Department, medical imaging, lab and pharmacy.

Appointments:
Simply call your child’s Meriter clinic for an appointment. If your child does not have a Meriter doctor, your appointment can be scheduled by calling (608) 417-6868.

After-Hours Clinic Hours:
Monday through Friday: 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Please note the clinic is closed on all major holidays.

Conditions: Common conditions treated at the After-Hours Clinic include:

  • Sore throat
  • Rash
  • Ear pain
  • Colds
  • Cough

If you aren't sure if your child needs to be seen in the after-hours clinic or emergency room, or if it can wait until your clinic is open, Meriter Pediatrics offers an after-hours nurses' line. Please call your clinic's phone number for this service.
