If you are a patient in the hospital, tell your nurse or physician that you would like to meet with a member of Patient & Family Services. You may also contact our department directly from your room by dialing #76027. A social worker or continuing care coordinator will meet with you in your hospital room, and meet with your family if they are present.
Patient & Family Services is dedicated to helping Meriter patients and their families cope with the variety of emotional, mental and physical issues that may surround and follow a hospital stay.
The Patient & Family Services team is composed of social workers and continuing care coordinators. There is no extra charge to Meriter patients or their insurance companies for services provided by Patient & Family Services.

Meriter's perinatal social workers help individuals and families respond to the issues that emerge during pregnancy through an infant's first birthday. Some of the concerns are related to:
Perinatal social workers are also available to assist families coping with the death of a baby, or loss of a pregnancy through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or stillbirth. Our staff strives to reach each and every grieving family from the time of the baby's death, through the period of grieving, and for as long as the family desires.
