Meriter Hospital's Medical Imaging Services department provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist in patient care.

Meriter is committed to putting patient and staffs' safety first. Radiologists and x-ray technologists are trained and are dedicated to using the minimum amount of radiation necessary to obtain the needed results.
 
Patients requiring imaging procedures need a referral and order from their physician. Routine studies are scheduled in advance Emergency procedures are performed as requested. Appointments for outpatient work are necessary and can be made by calling (608) 417-6288.

ACR Accreditation

The American College of Radiology (ACR) has awarded accreditation status to several Meriter Medical Imaging Department specialties. To obtain ACR accreditation, a facility must meet the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, radiation safety, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed.

Meriter’s Medical Imaging Ultrasound Department first reached this status in 2007 & reaccredited in 2010. Computer Tomography (CT) achieved accreditation in 2010. Molecular Medicine & PET/CT were accredited in 2011.
 
Meriter Hospital is the first hospital in Madison to be awarded ACR accreditation.

Turville Bay MRI & Radiation Oncology Services

Turville Bay MRI & Radiation Oncology Center is a joint venture between Meriter and St. Mary's. Turville Bay has a MRI Suite right in the Medical Imaging department in Meriter Hospital. Turville Bays's main center is located in Madison on Lake Monona.

The center offers state-of-the-art technology in a serene and beautiful environment. Providing imaging, diagnostic information and treatment for cancer and other diseases, the facility is designed for the care and comfort of its patients. MRI Telephone number is (608) 258-7820.
