Lipid Clinic

Our Lipid Clinic provides diagnosis and treatment for lipid or cholesterol disorders. If you are identified as high risk for heart attack or stroke, our team - which includes a board-certified clinical lipidologist - can develop a tailored prevention and treatment program to help you reach your goals safely and effectively.

Diabetes Consultation

If you have diabetes, you are at a much greater risk for heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure and vascular problem resulting from poor circulation to your legs and feet. At Meriter Heart & Vascular, we have extensive experience helping individuals with diabetes. Our experts can help you identify and reduce your risk factors.

Clotting Disorders Center

If you are on blood thinner medication, it is important that you have ongoing monitoring and managing to assure optimal health. Meriter Health & Vascular is home to an Anticoagulation Clinic staffed by a board-certified hematologist and expert cardiac nurses and pharmacists. You will receive ongoing blood tests, immediate instructions on dosing, convenient and consistent monitoring of therapy, and individual counseling and education.

Medical Nutritional Therapy & Weight Reduction

Diet directly affects the development of atherosclerosis, blood cholesterol levels, body weight, blood pressure and blood glucose levels—all potential risk factors in cardiovascular disease. 

Medical nutrition therapy focuses on diet and lifestyle changes that can prevent or reduce your risks. Working together as a team, you and your dietitian will develop a plan tailored to your nutritional and medical needs. Your dietitian will act as your guide down the path to nutritional wellness and improved health and quality of life.

Smoking Cessation

Smoking is a major cause of coronary artery disease and peripheral disease and the most important preventable cause of premature death in the U.S. If you smoke, we can develop an individualized plan—incorporating mindfulness training, education, tools and support—to help you break the habit once and for all. Our program is led by a registered nurse, specially trained in smoking cessation.

Meriter Heart & Vascular offers a premier, cardiac-focused wellness program for individuals and companies. Our cardiovascular experts tailor customized programs to address the time constraints and unique healthcare requirements of corporate executives and middle managers.

As part of this program, we offer convenient, comprehensive executive health assessments that exceed a typical annual physical in scope and far exceed minimum testing recommendations outlined by the government. The half-day assessment combines state-of-the-art diagnostic testing with analysis of lifestyle, nutritional habits and fitness level.
