Region's Most Comprehensive Care

Meriter Heart & Vascular, comprised of Meriter Wisconsin Heart and the Heart & Vascular Hospital, offers the region’s most comprehensive, “head-to-toe” cardiovascular care. We have top board-certified specialists in all areas of cardiovascular medicine including cardiothoracic surgery, general cardiology, echocardiography, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and some of the most highly trained technologists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants around. This combination allows us to offer a full spectrum of cardiovascular services, from prevention up to the most advanced interventions and devices. All of this is offered to our patients in a warm, caring environment.

At Meriter Heart & Vascular, we understand that the heart cannot be treated in isolation. That is why our patient care teams use wellness and prevention strategies to care for the whole person.

If You Need Us, See Us - Quickly

Heart disease is serious business. You should not have to wait weeks to see a cardiac specialist. That is why we offer patients the opportunity to be evaluated within two days, or sooner if a problem is urgent.

If you live outside of Madison, we work with your local physician to bring our world-class cardiovascular care close to home in communities throughout south-central Wisconsin.

When Emergencies Occur

We hope it never happens to you, but if a cardiac or vascular emergency occurs we will be there for you in our state-of-the-art Heart & Vascular Hospital. Located on the top two floors of Meriter Hospital, it’s Madison’s only “heart hospital within a hospital”. At a moment’s notice, we are there for patients in the emergency room, in the hospital or for patients to be transferred from area hospitals.
