While you're a patient at Meriter, several options are available for your visitors:
Guest Trays
Your visitors can enjoy a meal with you in your room by requesting a guest tray, which can be paid for in Guest Services, just off the main lobby. To order the meal and to specify the delivery time, your visitor should call Room Service at (608) 417-6368 (extension 6368 inside the hospital). When the meal is delivered, a Food and Nutrition staff member will collect the receipt.
Cafeteria
Your visitors are welcome to dine in the cafeteria, located on Level 1 (one floor below the main lobby). The cafeteria is open 6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. seven days a week. The meal times are:
Breakfast: 6:30 - 9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 5 - 7 p.m.
Beverages and snacks are available during non-meal times. Today's cafeteria menu is available online.
Coffee Shop
The Friends of Meriter manages a coffee shop located in the main lobby area. The friendly staff serves a full menu of homemade foods that can be enjoyed in the shop's dining area or ordered as a carryout. The shop also sells candy bars and other snack items. Some delivery services are available.
With the exception of major holidays, the coffee shop is open:
Weekdays: 6:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturdays: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Sundays: Closed
While you're in the hospital, call extension 7333 for a recording of today's schedule and specials. To place a "to go" order, call extension 6029. The proceeds of this shop go toward the enhancement of patient care. Tips received in the shop provide scholarships to area students who are pursuing careers in healthcare.
Vending Machines
Vending machines supplying snacks, sandwiches and beverages are located one floor below the main lobby and provide 24-hour-a-day service. To get there, take the Tower elevator to Level 1. Turn right as you exit the elevator. Walk up a short flight of stairs and turn right. A money changer is available in this location.
