Ethical Principles

Meriter Institutional Review Board (IRB) holds a federal-wide assurance with the Department of Health and Human Services. This assurance is Meriter's written commitment to abide by the federal regulations for human subject protection in research.

As part of our assurance, the department of Health and Human Services also asks Meriter to adhere to a statement of Ethical Principles for all human research performed at Meriter or by Meriter employees.

Meriter adheres to the Ethical Principles laid out in the Belmont Report. Links for other statements of ethical principles are also provided.
