Security Services

Meriter Security Officers provide a number of services for the safety of our patients and their visitors:

Escorts

Meriter Security Officers are available to escort patients and their visitors to their vehicles at any time. Please call (608) 417-6000 at least 10 minutes in advance, as there may be a short delay.

Lost and Found

If you are missing any items, please stop in or call the Guest Services Office at (608) 417-6276. Guest Services is located at 2 Tower in Meriter Hospital.

Car Problems

Parking Services has lock de-icer and jumper cables available in the parking ramp booth.

Safety Hazards

If you feel there is a safety hazard in your hospital room, please inform the nursing staff. If you notice a safety hazard in a commons area, please feel free to call the Security Office or the Guest Services office.

Other Services Provided

Security Officers investigate missing items, crimes and suspicious people or actions, as needed. They are also trained to diffuse behavioral incidents. If you have something to report, please call one of the numbers listed above. Meriter's Security Officers also patrol the hospital grounds in vehicles and on bikes, and control speeding within the hospital parking ramps.
