Day Rehabilitation

Physical TherapyThe Day Rehabilitation Center (DRC) is an outpatient program for people 16 years or older who have suffered a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury or other related diagnosis. The program's goal is to maximize independence at home and in the community.

The treatment team, in partnership with the patient and family, designs an individualized program for each person. Patients typically receive 4-5 hours of therapy per day with supervised activities or rest periods between sessions. Scheduling is flexible based on individual needs.

In DRC, the patient participates in both individual and group therapies in a home-like environment. Groups focus on functional skills such as cooking a meal as well as improving social skills. Community outings provide learning opportunities in real life settings such as shopping malls and support groups.
