| May Have in Your Room 1. Clothes 2. Socks 3. Shoes (only one pair with laces) 4. Coat 5. Cordless radio and/or alarm clock (you need to provide batteries) 6. Jewelry if on your person (the hospital recommends you leave any jewelry of value at home) 7. Posters, pictures, as long as appropriate 8. Reading/writing material 9. School work 10. Stationery, envelopes, stamps 11. Shampoo, conditioner, non-aerosol hairspray, lotion 12. Pillow and blanket (optional) 13. Phone cards (if you will need to make long distance phone calls) 14. Transitional items (photos, stuffed animals) |
Needs to Stay at Nursing Station or Patient Bin 1. Nail file, tweezers (at Nursing Station) 2. Any type of medication 3. Any items that to be stored while on precautions (belts, shoelaces, etc.) 4. Hats/bandanas can only be worn outside the hospital 5. Spiral notebooks are only allowed in the schoolroom |
Not Allowed in the Hospital 1. Food/Drinks 2. Cameras 3. Tobacco products 4. Lighters, matches, candles 5. Weapons of any kind 6. Videotapes / DVDs 7. Tape recorders 8. Marbles / rocks 9. Pets 10. Cassette tapes, CD's 11. Razors are not permitted in hospital unless battery operated and cordless 12. Walkmans/IPods 13. Hand-held video games or video games of any sort 14. More than one pair of shoes with shoelaces 15. Clothing items with drawstrings 16. Any glass items (including compacts, mirrors, etc.) 17. Cell phones/pagers 18. Spiral notebooks 19. Violent action toys 20. Inappropriate reading materials 21. Plastic bags, balloons, condoms, or other rubber-like materials 22. Pokemon or Yugioh cards * All above items need to be sent home. Not to be kept in patient bins. |
We recommend that you limit belongings brought in during your brief hospital stay.
