Meriter Preferred is a free program for people 50 years and better who live in southcentral Wisconsin. Get a membership for yourself. Encourage others in your family to join, and pass the word along to your friends as well - a number of activities we arrange are conducive to group participation.

Meriter Preferred members are entitled to these special benefits - a list that will continue to grow.

Free Health Screening

It is still true - an ounce of prevention is worthwhile. Meriter Preferred offers free blood pressure, bone density, cholesterol, diabetes, vaccinations, vision and other screenings to help you stay on top of any developing health concerns.

Health Education Programs

The power of knowledge! Meriter Preferred offers members free presentations on the latest health and wellness topics, Medicare and community resources. Members also receive a 20% discount on all Meriter health education classes. Finally, members can attend Senior Academy classes, which are for retirees that want to take advantage of UW-Madison's academic resources without having to navigate the campus. Meriter Preferred members receive $5 off the $40 course fee.

Physician Referral

Whether you need a family doctor or a specialist, Meriter Preferred will help you find a physician who meets your medical and personal needs.

When hospitalized at Meriter, Meriter Preferred members receive a free daily newspaper and two complimentary meal tickets for a guest.
