Meriter Medical Group Surgeons
Meriter's cardiac surgeons perform a comprehensive range of cardiac
and lung surgery including coronary bypass surgery and valve
surgery. They use off pump and minimally invasive techniques
as well as the traditional approach. We are proud that they
have been acknowledged as the "Best in Madison" and have

Khosro (Ed) Adib, MD
Dr. Adib received his medical degree from
the University of Tehran, Iran. He completed his
internship at MacNeal Memorial Hospital in Illinois,
and his residency and fellowship at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Adib is board certified in
thoracic surgery. |

Haywood S. Gilliam, MD
Dr. Gilliam received his medical degree
from Creighton University, Nebraska. He completed
his internship and residency at Fitzsimons Army
Medical Center in Colorado, and his fellowship at
Letterman Army Medical Center in California. Dr.
Gilliam is board certified in general surgery,
cardiothoracic surgery and surgical critical care. |

John E. McVey, MD, FACS
Dr. McVey received his medical degree from
Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. He
completed his internship and residency at the UW
Health Hospitals & Clinics. He is board certified in
thoracic surgery. |
