Patient and Family Advisory Council

The Patient and Family Advisory Council is growing!

We are currently recruiting new members. We invite you to join us one evening each month to share your insight. Your personal experiences and perspectives will help us discover new ways to provide our patients and the community with the best care possible.

About the Patient and Family Advisory Council

In our continuing efforts to provide the best care and services to our patients and families, Meriter Health Services launched its first Patient and Family Advisory Council in September of 2013. Members are patients and family members of patients using the Meriter Health Services system. They represent a multitude of areas of care and patient demographics.

How Advisors Partner with Meriter Health Services Management and Staff

Meriter Health Services Patient & Family Advisors work with Meriter management and staff to understand our current health care delivery system and provide information on needs and concerns of patients and families. They provide insight on the best ways to make changes to address those needs, assist in the planning of new patient-related programs, provide feedback on the way information is communicated to the public and can serve as a valuable resource for feedback on a wide array of other issues, services and policies.

How to Become an Advisor

The advisory council is comprised of current patients and family members of patients, with support provided by Meriter Health Services staff.

Ideal candidates will be willing to share opinions, experiences, and constructive feedback on ways we can improve the way we deliver health care. If you are interested in joining the council, please submit your information in the form fields below or contact the Meriter Service Excellence Department at (608) 417-7760.

2015 Meeting Schedule

(Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month.) January 28, February 25, March 25, April 22, May 27, June 24, July 29 August 26, September 23, October 28, November 25. The monthly meeting is not held in December.

Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in addition to light reading or research between meetings.

Location: Meriter Hospital (meetings may infrequently take place at other locations). Transportation support is available to council members who need assistance getting to meetings.
