Meriter Pro/Am Raises Over $80,000 for New Oncology Unit
 
This year's
Meriter Pro/Am Golf Classic presented by General Casualty goes on
record as our most successful golf outing in the 17-year history of the event.
The generous support of our corporate and team sponsors, helped raise over
$80,000 to benefit the new Oncology Unit at Meriter Hospital.
Twenty-six teams competed in this year's golf tournament and top honors went to
Oakbrook Corporation with a first place finish, followed by the
Robert W. Baird team taking second and the Noel Group,
LLC rounding out the
top
three spots with third place.
Proceeds from the event will help create a comfortable and safe environment for
cancer patients receiving care at Meriter Hospital. The new unit will feature 15
private patient rooms; an air flow handling system designed specifically for
infection control; more space for family members to be part of the care
experience; and an expanded outpatient treatment area.
