Making Appointments
There is never a good time for an illness to arise or an injury to occur. Our
staff strives to take the frustration out of appointment scheduling by
accommodating your specific needs. We strive to stay on schedule, because we
know how valuable your time is.
In order to be able to schedule ill patients on the same day they call the
clinic, we hold open several appointment slots. If you feel you need to be seen
on an urgent basis, we will likely ask you to speak with a clinical staff person
who will assess your need and arrange for appropriate care.
If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, we ask that you please notify
us at least 24 hours in advance, if possible.
Prescription Refills
If you need a refill on your prescription, please call your regular pharmacy to reorder. They will contact us immediately for confirmation on refilling your prescription.
We will call in your refill order to the pharmacy you designate within 24 hours, and notify you if there are circumstances that will not allow it to be refilled.
Lab Work and Tests
Meriter - West Washington offers laboratory testing services. Tests are drawn
on-site, and then processed at Meriter Laboratories. If you need to stop in for
lab tests between appointments, it is helpful for you to call ahead of time so
that we may prepare your lab orders. Unless your physician states otherwise, we
will contact you with any lab work results that require follow up.
Hospitalist Care
If you should ever need to be admitted for hospitalization at Meriter
Hospital, you are apt to be under the care of hospitalists – Meriter Medical
