Flu Immunization Information
Getting the flu shot is the single best way to protect against the flu. Meriter FastCare Clinics now have supplies of both seasonal and H1N1 influenza vaccine.
Public Health Madison-Dane County has information on which vaccine form is best for you. FastCare will administer vaccine to children starting at ages 2 and up. No appointment is necessary. There is a $15 administration fee that some insurance companies will reimburse.
Seasonal flu activity is typically highest in December through early spring. FastCare has seasonal flu in both nasal (Flumist) and injectable (Fluzone) forms. Again, FastCare will administer vaccine to children starting at ages 2 and up. The charge for nasal immunization is $45; an injectable immunization is $30.
