  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your date of birth
  • Name of the pharmacy
  • Amount and frequency of the medicine

We will call in your refill order to the pharmacy you designate within 24 hours, and notify you if there are circumstances that will not allow it to be refilled.

Lab Work and Tests

Meriter Clinics offer a full range of laboratory testing services on site. If you need to stop in for lab tests between appointments, it is helpful for you to call ahead of time so that we may prepare your lab orders. Unless your physician states otherwise, we will contact you with any lab work results that require follow up.

Hospitalist Care

If you should ever need to be admitted for hospitalization at Meriter Hospital, you are apt to be under the care of hospitalists - Meriter Medical Group Physicians who specialize in the care of hospital patients. Hospitalists work closely with your primary care physician and specialists to provide around-the-clock medical services. For more information, visit our Hospitalist Program section.

Facts about seasonal flu

  • The "flu" is a respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus.
  • Expect symptoms to last 1-2 weeks.
  • Because seasonal Influenza (flu) is caused by a virus, antibiotics don't help.
  • The Influenza (flu) season generally runs from late December to early March.
  • The people who most often get sick are children five to 14 years old - who carry the virus home to family members, who then share it at work!
  • While most people recover within a week or so, Influenza (flu) complications can be life-threatening.
  • While you have a fever and a cough you are contagious. Managing non-emergency symptoms at home reduces needless exposure to other people.
