Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women. Education and awareness are the first steps in finding a solution to this serious problem. Throughout the evening, our experienced and knowledgeable Meriter Women's HeartCare team will discuss steps you can take toward enjoying a more heart-healthy lifestyle. The topics will be tailored to women's needs and range from heart disease and risk factors to the heart-healthy benefits of a Mediterranean lifestyle.
Delight in a four-course Mediterranean cuisine, catered by Bunky’s Café. Dinner includes:
First Course: Bunky’s homemade hummus (blended chickpeas with a touch of tahini sauce and lemon juice), warm pita bread and fresh vegetables
Second Course: Bunky's salad and rustic whole grain rolls with vegan butter
Third Course: Fresh grilled chicken kabobs (chicken breasts marinated with chef's spices), brown rice and roasted vegetables
Fourth Course: Low-fat chocolate mousse
