Meriter's Nurse Residency Program is partially funded through the Meriter Foundation.
Meriter Hospital is proud to offer a nurse residency program for new graduate nurses hired into a cardiac/critical care, medical/surgical/operating room and emergency services area.
The ten month residency program provides numerous learning opportunities and introduces participants to all phases of inpatient care and resource personnel. The program offers structured classroom content in conjunction with monthly small group discussion sessions and clinical shadowing experiences. Program content is also configured to support the achievement of the personal goals identified within the individual professional development plan written by each resident.
Program Highlights
The nurse residency program is coordinated by an advanced degreed Clinical Nurse Educator in the Nursing Education Department of the hospital. The program coordinator will work with each individual resident as well as within the group learning sessions to assure that all possible educational resources are made available and learning needs are met.
At Meriter Hospital you will find a commitment to nursing excellence that will support you in becoming the nurse you aspire to be.
