Application Process

A residency certificate is awarded to the graduates at the annual program banquet in June. Application to the program must be made through the PASS program. The PASS application deadline is November 1 and all supplemental application materials must be received in the Dental Clinic by November 15. Final resident selection is made through the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program.

Criteria for Resident Selection
The Meriter Hospital GPR Selections Committee evaluates the following criteria to establish an applicant's suitability for the residency program:

• Grade point average
• Class rank
• Letters of recommendation
• Applicant essay
• Extracurricular activities
• Resident interview

Salary and Benefits
The current annual salary for Dental Residents at Meriter Hospital is $43,000. Residents receive full benefits as hospital employees, including:
