Meriter's Commitment to Quality
Patient Service

Ann Ebert, Meriter Perinatal Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, and "graduate"Meriter's commitment to extraordinary service leads us to measure satisfaction through surveys and interviews of patients, families, physicians, employers and others who tell us about their experiences at Meriter.

Results say we do well when it comes to satisfying patients and others we survey; it also points out ways we can improve our service to them the next time around.

Meriter benchmarks itself against more than 700 hospitals nationwide by participating in NRC surveys.

Patient Satisfaction with Inpatient Services

Meriter Hospital is Part of HCAHPS Reporting

On March 28, 2008, information on patients' experiences of hospital care was posted publicly for the first time. The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS), is a standardized survey tool introduced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Meriter remains committed to publicly sharing quality data related to clinical outcomes, patient safety and, now, patient experience. We recognize the value this information has in helping people make informed decisions about their health care. Review Meriter's first set of HCAHPS data.
