I'm Meriter President and CEO, Jim Woodward. It is an honor to lead an organization dedicated to providing patient-centered, high quality health care. I am most proud that our patients place us in the top 10 percent in the nation in terms of their overall rating of the hospital and their willingness to recommend us to family and friends.   • became the first hospital in the State of Wisconsin to be recognized as a Certificate of Merit Awardee with the American Hospital Association/McKesson Quest for Quality Prize;
  • was named one of the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals® by Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare;
  • received the NRC Picker Innovative Best Practice Award for Patient-Centered Care;
  • accepted the NRC Picker Path to Excellence Award for Patient Satisfaction;
  • was named Modern Healthcare Magazine’s Most Wired Hospital for the 2nd year in a row;

Meriter Health Services provides high quality of care to residents in Madison, Dane County and the surrounding communities. With a combined staff of 3,300 employees, Meriter Health Services operates:

  • Meriter Hospital, a nonprofit, 448 bed community hospital, providing a complete range of medical and surgical services.
  • Meriter Medical Group, a growing primary and specialty care practice group.
  • Meriter Medical Clinics, which includes the following primary care clinics: DeForest-Windsor Clinic, Deming Way Clinic, McKee Clinic, Middleton Clinic, Monona Clinic, West Washington Clinic and Fitchburg Clinic
  • Meriter Home Health provides comprehensive home health care services and medical products to southern Wisconsin.
  • Meriter Laboratories, a trusted provider of reference lab services for area clinics, hospitals, researchers and nursing homes.
